Biography

Theodore P. Cummings, Esq.

Mr. Cummings (Ted) is the Manager and Owner of CUMMINGS LAW. He is a proud graduate of Howard University, having earned a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Later, Mr. Cummings earned his Juris Doctorate from Salmon P. Chase College of Law.

Mr. Cummings began his career in patent law at Procter & Gamble. Later. He later practiced patent law at GE Aircraft Engines. In all, Mr. Cummings has over 15 years of corporate legal experience.

He is licensed to practice in the state of Ohio (state bar) and before the USPTO (patent bar). Mr. Cummings represents all manner of organizations regardless of size, from the Fortune 500 to start-up enterprises.

Mr. Cummings and his attorneys are experienced in dealing with patent prosecution issues including: patent application drafting & preparation, responding to office actions (foreign and U.S. domestic), filing of continuation applications, and filing of applications under the USPTO’s Accelerated Examination program.

Mr. Cummings also provides clients with advice and counsel regarding patent strategy and licensing and currently serves as general counsel for several start-up and mid-sized companies.
